With 15+ years in intelligence and risk advisory, Sam Johnson leads corporate intelligence assignments and complex investigations for global corporations, cross-border legal teams, and family offices, and advises executives on protective intelligence and personal risk.

He spent over a decade in a confidential intelligence and risk advisory role, conducting research, overseeing investigations, coordinating field operations, and advising on sensitive matters.

Sam’s corporate assignments in Canada and internationally have examined company ownership and control, profiled executives and principals, traced assets, and surfaced undisclosed relationships, conflicts, and reputational concerns. He has also investigated fraud, insider activity, misconduct, and deliberate operational disruption.

For legal counsel, he has directed cross-jurisdictional litigation support: reconstructing disputed events, locating and interviewing witnesses, tracing assets, and coordinating surveillance and field operations.

In executive risk matters, Sam leads engagements from initial assessment and threat-actor investigation through protective planning, protective surveillance, and executive protection.

Sam holds an MA in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies (University of Toronto) and an Honours BA (York University). He is a licensed investigator authorized by Ontario’s Ministry of the Solicitor General.
